Motorcycles

A little something else I really like to do:

A few times a year, I make vintage inspired custom motorcycles, mostly for my own gratification, but commissioned builds are possible.

Typically I work with clean used 70’s to 80’s era bikes that get functional and cosmetic work done to transform them into prewar era vintage, antique and oldtimer styled bikes that are reliable, fun to ride and you can easily get parts for.

I have a soft spot for BMW airhead motorcycles from the mid to late 70’s, but Japanese bikes can provide the most fun for a very reasonable price.safety, reliability and a little modern performance with heaps of retro style are the goals with these bikes. So far i’ve built most of the iconic styles of custom bikes such as cafe racers, brat style, bobber and scrambler – street tracker as design exercises and to get some grease under my nails to learn along the way. a few purpose built dual sport adventure builds have snuck into the mix which have been a lot of fun realizing further capabilities on strong base platforms.
