How do I place an order?
Please use the form on our order page. Include as much detail as possible in the comment field.
How long will it take?
Most orders take 2-3 weeks. If we don’t have the parts in stock, it can take longer.
Do you make amps compatible with a variety of voltages?
All amps are universal voltage, except for the Baltar series.
Can I trade you for an amp?
Nope.
Do you do endorsements/sponsorships?
We do not.
Do you make single channel amps with reverb and effects loops?
Yes. You can read more about the details on our spec sheets.
What’s the deal with Jet City? Do you really repurpose their amps?
Here’s the deal: In our opinion, Jet City makes a great small size, low wattage amp. They are universally adaptable and frequently serve as a gateway tube amp for new musicians, which means they become somewhat disposable. In short, they make the perfect shell for our customized sound. Hovercraft cultivates partnerships with manufacturers and artists to create high-quality, superior sound while helping to keep unloved gear out of the landfill. The Dwarvenaut and some Falcon amps are examples of models that are revoiced. We do what we can to Reuse, Recycle, and Rerock whenever possible.
But wait. What about the Caribou amp? Are those revoiced?
The Caribou amps are either 50 or 100 watts and are always 100{d4bedfb142f39760bcc99bdc493ac665ae9906ad68bf0ab08734e20c4fe243fc} Hovercraft built.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. We stand behind our products and offer a 6-month warranty on tubes and a 1-year warranty on amps for the original owner only.
What do you charge for repairs?
All repairs made during warranty are made free of charge. That’s why they call it a warranty. Don’t take it to your friend’s shop—having another tech work on it, without an okay from us automatically voids the warranty. After your warranty has expired we are happy to perform all repairs at a nominal cost. If we can’t fix the problem, we will replace the amp.
Do you cover shipping damage?
In the event of damage sustained during shipping, please contact us immediately. Do not attempt to have anything repaired or replaced. We will make it right.
Do you make bass amps?
Any Hovercraft Amp can be made to bass amp specs.
Do you make preamps?
Not yet!
How do I figure out which tube I should choose?
We recommend that you check out tube vendor sites such as tubedepot.com, thetubestore.com, or watfordvalves.com, etc., and read up on their descriptions. Find out which tubes your favorite amps use. Chances are, you will probably like the sound of these the best. Stick with what you know and like for your first amp.

In most cases, yes. However, know that we will not directly copy anything currently being manufactured. Here’s what we’ll need to make all your dreams come true: You will need to know exactly what you want. You will need to be very patient. These things take a long time to build. Some even take a year. When it comes to building from scratch, designing, creating, and perfecting can take a while. Complex custom orders require a 50{d4bedfb142f39760bcc99bdc493ac665ae9906ad68bf0ab08734e20c4fe243fc} deposit.
